Adam M. Satnick
Partner
Adam is a Los Angeles native who has represented clients in both State and Federal court. Adam has experience advising clients in various business, real estate, and general litigation matters, including breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, securities law, and a broad range of real property disputes. Adam previously worked at a four-attorney civil litigation firm representing both plaintiffs and defendants. In early 2017, Adam left his firm and opened a successful solo practice.
In 2019, Adam and Benson founded Satnick Lau LLP to bring their modern vision of a law firm to fruition. In less than one year, Satnick Lau LLP has had unprecedented success, including drafting an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of California, persuading the High Court to affirm a judgment for over half of a billion dollars.
Adam is an award winning legal researcher and writer, a vociferous advocate in the courtroom, and has a broad range of legal knowledge and acumen.
In June 2020, Adam was first selected to the Southern California Rising Stars list. In 2021 he was selected again. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the State are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Benson K. Lau

Benson Lau, a native of Hawaii, has called Los Angeles home for over a decade. He began his legal career as a litigator specializing in civil, real estate, entertainment, and corporate litigation. With extensive experience representing clients in both State and Federal Courts, Benson has built a reputation for his strategic approach and dedication to his clients.
Benson entered the cannabis industry over a decade ago, prior to the passage of the Adult Use of Marijuana Act. He has since represented a wide range of cannabis business operators, including cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, testing labs, and retailers. His expertise spans litigation, intellectual property rights, licensing, municipal disputes, landlord/tenant issues, mergers and acquisitions, state and local licensing, and compliance.
Benson’s practice extends beyond cannabis to providing comprehensive legal guidance to start-ups and small businesses. He offers expert advice on business planning, choice of entity, formation, organization, governance, and qualification of various business structures. Additionally, he represents clients in both commercial and residential real estate transactions and employment litigation.
Before practicing law, Benson was a NASD-registered financial advisor, offering investment advice and comprehensive financial planning services to businesses and professionals. This financial background enriches his legal practice, allowing him to provide well-rounded advice to his clients.
Benson serves on the advisory board for Cinema Makeup School, a premier institution in Los Angeles dedicated to training the next generation of beauty and special effects makeup artists for successful careers in the film, television, fashion, and entertainment industries.
